Empower Recovery. Support Community Health. Build a Career With Purpose.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use? At Hometown Health Center (HHC), we’re growing a compassionate, mission-driven team dedicated to improving health outcomes through accessible, integrated care. As we expand our services and prepare to open our new, state-of-the-art facility in Palmyra in December 2025, we’re seeking an Addiction Specialist Provider to join us in delivering life-changing support to patients across Central Maine. Our new facility will also include an onsite wellness center (gym, walking track, basketball/pickleball court and more) and onsite daycare to further support your well-being and work-life balance. Providers at HHC benefit from access to Scribe-X, a live scribe service that reduces administrative burden and gives you more time to focus on what matters most—your patients and your life outside of work.

About Us

Since 2003, HHC has been a cornerstone of care in Central Maine. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we serve more than 8,200 patients annually through over 32,000 medical, dental and behavioral health visits. With locations in Dexter, Newport and soon Palmyra, we’re deeply rooted in the communities we serve—and proud of it.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Addiction Specialist Provider (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant) to join our office-based, outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in Newport, Maine. This is a meaningful opportunity to support patients in recovery through evidence-based, compassionate care within a collaborative, integrated team.

This role is ideal for a provider who values harm reduction, trauma-informed practices and team-based care. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where your expertise is respected and your impact is clear.

As an NHSC-approved site, HHC offers eligible providers the chance to participate in federal and state loan repayment programs—reducing educational debt while delivering care where it’s needed most.
