Instructional Assistant (ADSIS Para)/Lunchroom Playground Supervisor

Work Week: 5.5 hour position (Student Support 3.5 hours, 2 hours playground), Monday through Friday
Hourly Rate/Salary Range:
Instructional Assistant/Student Support (3.5 hours) - per Paraprofessional Contract (Level I, Step 2) $21.52 per hour
Lunchroom Playground Supervisor (2 hours) - per Clerical Contract (Level 1, Step 2) $21.27 per hour

Positions Summary:
We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive, and collaborative individual to join our dedicated Student Support Team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the social and emotional needs of students by providing targeted interventions through one-on-one sessions and small group work.In this role, you’ll work closely with the School Psychologist and the Student Support Team to develop and implement creative, evidence-based strategies that help students thrive, both in and out of the classroom. You’ll be a key contributor to building a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment where every student feels seen, heard, and empowered to succeed.
The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with young people. You’ll have the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with students, collaborate with caring educators, and be part of a team that values connection, growth, and student well-being.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with supervision during recess and lunch periods, offering another chance to engage with students in a relaxed, informal setting and reinforce social-emotional learning in real time.

Education and /or Experience:
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children
Special Requirements: - Moderate experience working with children.
- Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio OR pass MN Parapro test.
- Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire.
- Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention within 6-12 months upon hire as needed for program.
- Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.
