We have Teardown Data Quality Lead opportunity available with our customer Allen Park, MI.
Position Description:
This position supports the NA and Global Product Development Benchmarking Center (PDBC) Teams. Candidate will report directly to the NA PDBC Teardown Supervisor: NA Ford and Competitor Technology System (FACTS) and Teardown responsibilities:
Description for External Candidates:
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Experience with Ford Motor Company part naming conventions and/or nomenclature
- Solid understanding of building and maintaining database structures
- In-depth knowledge of overall vehicle and system interfaces
- Proficient computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills for manipulation of large data sets and cross-referencing discrete reports
- Experience with competitive intelligence and service manuals
- Position may require periodic workday flexibility as we provide support and interact with all regions globally
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Proven attention to detail and process discipline
- Extensive knowledge of full vehicle and commodity teardown processes
- Experience with Bill of Material (BOM) management
- Experience with Bill of Process (BOP); e.g. Teardown processes or product manufacturing
Responsibilities for External Candidates:
Core Responsibilities:
- Aid Teardown Specialists in identification of new component, name adds for new technologies, etc
- Data entry quality check, vehicle alignment verification, weight reconciliation
- Provide new hire FACTS/IBP training
- Ensure FACTS/IBP software and hardware is operational and maintained with latest configuration files and passwords
- Support customer inquiries related to teardown and data, answer and resolve as required
- Lead vehicle alignment and weight reconciliation
- Support new benchmark data initiatives, ie. VIN BOM alignment, Benchmark Data Suppliers, TcE Scanning Structure, Global FACTS nomenclature structure
- IBP Vehicle set-up - verify and enter vehicle specifications into database
- Publish vehicles and all supporting documentation
- Lead training for new teardown regions and support with roll out of new functionality
- Coordinate and maintain all part name adds (Name, CPSC, PAF UID)
- Coordinate and lead all special data entry projects - HV Battery, etc.
- Support QA testing for FACTS releases
- Support bi-monthly X-CBG Meeting
Qualifications for External Candidates:
- Associates / Bachelor's degree - Automotive Technology, Engineering or related science, preferred
