JOIN OUR DINING TEAM AS A COOK!
We are seeking a FT talented cook to join our dedicated Dining team at Mennonite Village. We prepare our dishes from scratch, ensuring flavors that nourish our residents and bring smiles to their faces. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for food and understand the importance of quality and care. Must have weekend availability to be considered.
We have two levels of cooks, and your past experience and cooking skill level will determine which cook position you will qualify for:
- Cook I - Starting pay between $16.25 - $18.64
- Cook II - Starting pay between $18.25 - $20.94

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook healthy, delicious meals from scratch, following approved recipes.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with attention to detail, using knife skills and cooking techniques
- Work closely with other cooks to execute meal plans and take on cooking tasks efficiently.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen
- Maintain communication with other employees and receive feedback on culinary creations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a senior living facility or similar environment or in commercial kitchen.
- Strong cooking technical skills, including knife techniques and knowledge of food safety.
- Ability to follow precise recipes and execute orders from supervisor.
- A passion for cooking, patience, and a genuine love for providing excellent service.
- Oregon Food handler's card
- Minimum of one year of cook experience
