Summary:
The Portfolio Specialist provides critical data management expertise to the Fixed Income team. This position requires data analytics experience, securities and trading knowledge and strong communication skills.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Analyzes quantitatively and qualitatively fixed income securities.
General understanding of credit fundamentals, and their impact on fixed income securities pricing.
Utilizes proper tools, analyzes and recommends individual Fixed Income securities for purchase or sale.
Understand general portfolio analytics, their application and recommends tactical positioning of portfolios based on this analysis, both from a macro and portfolio level point of view.
Reconciles daily book of business analytics, daily cash numbers, and overnight market moving analysis.
Performs portfolio write ups for advisors, when necessary, in a professional and thought-out manner.
Communicates outcomes of analysis to senior management in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience performing quantitative data analysis utilizing analytical tools.
Experience with Perform® Software and Bloomberg are desired.
Strong analytical and Excel skills are required, experience with Visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau are desired.
General understanding of securities, trading markets.
Strong written/verbal communication skills.
