JOB TITLE: Production Assembler IV (Lead) 2nd Shift
EMPLOYEE STATUS: Non-exempt
PURPOSE: The Production Lead is an expert on production manufacturing. The Lead is capable of stepping in for Supervisor coverage and is capable of performing any process in manufacturing when needed. The Lead helps coordinate manufacturing, as well as working directly on the line.
AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Production Manufacturing Area
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supports manufacturing by through coordination of information, staging, assembly. Works directly in production when needed to meet productivity expectations.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to maximize production efficiency.
- Assists in the coordination of executing the manufacturing schedule including material request & returns for raw materials
- Demonstrates the ability to perform general maintenance and set up of any machinery in area.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain all production records, and ensures an efficient process to record all product specifications regarding quality or regulatory requirements to process finished goods
- Demonstrated ability to enter data into manufacturing systems.
- Maintain productivity and incentive reports.
- Ensures that associates in area are adequately trained
- Monitors area performance and implements change management to improve productivity and quality.
- Ability to train associates in technique, and supports and encourages associates to exceed productivity expectations
- Keeps associates aware of area performance and works with leadership to ensure associates are engaged
- Must demonstrate knowledge of our specifications and our quality system.
- Is expected to work overtime as requested.
- Demonstrates model work habits and positive behaviors
GENERAL DUTIES:
1) Must demonstrate knowledge of HVO safety expectations and regulations
2) Maintains a clean and organized work area.
3) Demonstrates an understanding of proper hygiene and gowning procedures throughout the facility.
4) Demonstrates model behavior regarding good work habits and behaviors.
MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Must meet all competencies required for an Assembler I, II & III
- Demonstrates leadership and is accountable for area associate engagement and performance
- Proven ability to read and understand product drawing specification & provides WIP documentation.
- Ability to perform label approval.
- Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Able to lift 30 - 40 pounds
2) Good manual dexterity with good and-eye coordination
3) Upper body repetitive motion requiring standing to perform tasks
4) Pass Lead Competency Test with 100% accuracy
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma/GED or proven work experience in related field.
