Programmes Planner
Your Role: Programmes Planner
Based within the Global Outdoor Operations function, the Programmes Planner role requires proactivity, organisation, and strong attention to detail to create, review, and maintain project plans for major Capex programmes, including significant deployment programmes on the Transport for London estate.
This role reports to the Director of Programmes, with key stakeholders including the Global Outdoor executive, Operations Director, Operations Team, Partnership team, Finance, and the Programme Delivery team.
Successfully delivering our Capex programmes supports the Global business strategy and commitments to Franchise and Client Partners.
As a Programme Planner at Global, you will:
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, encompassing all phases from initiation to completion. Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and resource requirements.
Baseline Development: Establish and maintain project baselines, ensuring schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project objectives and client expectations.
Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project progress, updating schedules and timelines to reflect actual progress and potential delays. Create and distribute progress reports, including milestone tracking.
Risk Management: Identify scheduling risks and implement mitigation strategies. Adjust timelines and resources to manage changes and reduce project delays.
Resource & Cost Loading: Integrate resources and costs into schedules for accurate forecasting and budget tracking. Ensure optimal resource allocation, flagging potential resource conflicts and suggesting alternatives.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Present schedule analysis and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and addressing project impacts.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend process improvements, schedule optimisations, and Primavera P6 best practices to enhance project outcomes and planning efficiency.
Compliance: Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with internal policies, industry standards, and client requirements.

What You’ll Need
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Primavera P6, with 3+ years of experience in scheduling, planning, and project control for complex projects.
Working knowledge of NEC4 contract management and legislation
Project Management: Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and resource management.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse project data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex scheduling data clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring all schedules, baselines, and forecasts are accurate and reflect project objectives.
A good practical knowledge of project management practices and ideally be certified/qualified at a practitioner level – Prince2 or equivalent
Previous experience working on large-scale projects in industries such as construction, engineering, energy, or IT preferred.
Industry Experience: Experience in sectors like construction, engineering, or IT.
Comprehensive programme delivery experience including the review and management of month end submission
Experience in risk identification and assessment of project deliverables
