We have an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Manager to join the New Womens and Babies Hospital Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively will be accountable for the development and delivery of the Sustainability and Environmental management framework within this project.

 

Perth Women and Babies Hospital

Webuild is the preferred bidder for the design and construction of the New Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. Commissioned by the Western Australia Government, the project is destined to replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and will expand the healthcare services for women, children and their families in the State of West Australia, transforming the capacity of two important healthcare campuses: the Fiona Stanley Hospital complex and the Osborne Park Hospital.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Lead the identification and integration of sustainability, climate related and environmental risks and opportunities into Webuild / Clough Australian business strategy and governance framework
  • Lead delivery of the Australian carbon and climate-related regulatory disclosures.
  • Coordinate the delivery of project and operational carbon and climate-related programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into design, planning, and project delivery solutions.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to carbon emissions, climate impact, and sustainability goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to carbon and climate initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and partners to drive sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Preference for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environment, Science, Sustainability, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in sustainability management, specifically focusing on carbon reduction and climate strategies within a corporate environment
  • Experience in environmental management systems and regulatory compliance
  • Project management skills, communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with Australian environmental and sustainability regulations and international sustainability frameworks (e.g., UN SDGs, NGERS etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sustainability and environmental initiatives with measurable results.
