What's the role?
You will perform both preventative and breakdown maintenance on high speed machinery, including printing presses, publishing machines, strappers, conveyors etc.
You will conduct your work in a safe and efficient manner to meet production requirements across a variety of shifts in a newspaper manufacturing environment.
You will be required to work a rotating shift pattern, with only 14 shifts per month, with a 50 / 50 day, night split. The pattern offers great work life balance to enjoy the sunshine coast lifestyle.
You will work as part of a team made up of mechanical and electrical team members covering all 7 days / nights of the week.
Who are you?
Essential Requirements:
Trade Certificate in Fitting & Turning
A strong safety focus as well as a strong focus on quality of work
Flexibility to work shift work as required.
Diagnostic & problem solving skills
Experience in Manufacturing process Work would be Advantageous
Computer skills
Desirable requirements:
Well-developed communication skills
Cert 4 in Hydraulics or Pneumatics an advantage
Restricted Electrical ticket an advantage
Good time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise workload
Experience with computer based maintenance systems.
Experience in using safety management systems.
Forklift License advantageous
