About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Business Partner to join our team.

In this role, you will provide strategic and operational People and Culture (P&C) support to senior leaders, managers, and staff across an assigned College and/or Portfolio. Working in close partnership with the Senior P&C Business Partner, and the P&C Advisor, you will deliver expert advice and practical solutions across a broad range of P&C functions including employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, and change management.

You will also contribute to policy development, staff training, and the implementation of P&C initiatives. Collaboration across the broader P&C team is essential to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • The provision of a business partner service on all aspects of P&C and Employee Relations matters including the interpretation and provision of advice on organisational-wide policies and procedures and Enterprise Agreement.

  • The effective contribution to the development, review and maintenance of policy, procedures, training programs and organisational processes to guide the application of P&C policy and relevant administrative systems.

  • Represent the P&C Division on relevant projects as required and to promote and communicate P&C policies, processes and to proactively drive business improvements in P&C service delivery and initiatives.

About You

As the successful candidate, you bring a relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in P&C advisory or business partnering roles. You are an effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build productive, trusting, and collaborative relationships with senior leaders, colleagues, and stakeholders across the University. You have a strong ability to identify needs and priorities, exercise sound judgment, solve problems, and use initiative to achieve results, with a people first approach.

You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and skilled at prioritising tasks in a busy work environment. You will provide clear, practical guidance on a range P&C matters, achieving positive outcomes that meet the needs of stakeholders and the wider University.
