Maintenance Engineer II, Full Time, Temporary
Rate of Pay: $32.33/hour

Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii... King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Temporary Full Time Maintenance Engineer II to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.

Brief Summary of Job: Performs general repair and maintenance work and all the duties of subordinates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
____ Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ Performs general repair and maintenance work.
____ Performs all duties of subordinate positions.
____ Advises and directs personnel in lower rated positions as assigned.
____ Makes plumbing, refrigeration and air conditioning repairs and maintenance.
____ Makes carpentry repairs and minor new work repairs.
____ Maintains locks, keys and hardware.
____ Maintains tile and cement.
____ Makes minor repairs.
____ May operate and do all maintenance and repair work on boilers and associated equipment.
____ May mix, add and analyze boiler chemicals.
____ May take weather readings and keep records of the same.
____ May assume all duties of sewage and water personnel in their absence.
____ Periodically clean gutters,
____ Drain water heaters.
____ Keeps equipment maintenance records.
____ May operate projection and sound equipment and set up equipment for special events.
____ Maintain shop and tools in clean, orderly and safe condition.
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, etc.). Minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience required including but not limited to basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, screening, locks, and proper tool and chemical use. High school or equivalent education.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
