Position Overview 

We’re seeking a Technical Writer with a strong technical background to create clear and compelling product documentation.  This person will play a pivotal role in supporting our Rapid Innovation Center (RIC) and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate complex ideas.   

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, review, and revise product documentation for innovative, AI-based initiatives, working in tandem with development teams.  
• Utilize tools like Markdown, VSCode, Github, and Docusaurus for content creation and management.     
• Contribute to content strategy and ensure compliance with brand guidelines. 
• Write and edit technical presentations, briefings, and other deliverables such as white papers. 
• Interview technical personnel to gather information for documentation. 
• Maintain organized records of work and revisions. 
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to document agile solutions. 
• As needed, support the capture and proposal process by researching and gathering technical information for use in proposal development activities.  

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

• A bachelor's degree in English, Mass Communications, or a technical discipline. With ten years of professional experience and at least four years of specialized experience, a degree is not required. 
• Extensive experience writing and editing technical documentation using Markdown 
• Experience building product documentation libraries and iterating on user feedback.   
• Experience developing written artifacts for government customers or GovCon industry partners. 
• ?Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
• Candidates will be asked to provide writing samples 
• Due to the nature of our customers, candidates are required to hold US Citizenship. 

Desired Qualifications: 

• Experience writing documentation for AI-based solutions 
• Familiarity with IDE plugins and version control systems (e.g. GitHub)  
• Knowledge of static site generation frameworks to manage and publish documentation (e.g. Docusaurus, 11ty, Jekyll) 
• Experience using LLMs and AI tools to for content generation 
• Experience generating complete responses to RFPs, RFIs, and Market Surveys / Sources Sought Notices. 

Working Environment:  

eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients.?Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.  

Occasional travel for training or project meetings in the DMV region. It is estimated to be less than 5-10% per year.??
