We’re searching for a Senior Accountant, Accounts Receivable and Revenue to partner with our Accounting team on this exciting journey.
In this role, you will
- Lead the accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, and collections, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Own the monthly revenue close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and revenue-related reporting
- Analyze revenue results and partner with FP&A to provide insight on revenue trends and variance drivers
- Support internal and external reporting requirements, ensuring transactions comply with US GAAP (ASC 606)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success and Business Development to ensure our invoicing, collections, and customer relationships are properly managed
- Partner with Operations to establish policies and procedures that enable data integrity
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation for enhanced efficiency and scalability
- Continuously monitor the design and operating effectiveness of controls within the receivables process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, specializing in accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Practical experience with revenue and accounts receivable processes, including reconciliations, invoicing, and month-end close
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley as it pertains to accounts receivable in a public company environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications
Desirable Qualifications
- NetSuite experience
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Adept at identifying and implementing process improvements with cross-functional partners
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in leveraging system capabilities, with experience in systems implementation and/or administration
The base salary range for this position is $101,000 - $162,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
