Job Summary 

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this individual will oversee multiple construction teams and subordinate project managers, ensuring that all assigned projects meet quality, schedule, and budget expectations. This is a with frequent nationwide travel to field sites, particularly during project launches and critical phases. 


Qualifications 

  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen. 
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.   
  • Ability to read, write and speak English. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, infrastructure, or field-based project delivery roles. 
  • Proven ability to manage and scale large, multi-site operations and cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong background in project ramp-ups, resource planning, and operational recovery. 
  • Effective communicator with executive presence and the ability to lead both strategically and tactically. 
  • Expertise with project management software and reporting tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project). 
  • PMP certification or equivalent leadership training preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Leadership, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from initial planning and ramp-up through execution and closeout. 
  • Ensure operational consistency, performance alignment, and compliance across multiple simultaneous projects nationwide. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on prioritization, resource allocation, and performance targets.  
  • Oversee the setting up of new projects, including team deployment, equipment readiness, vendor coordination, and schedule planning.
    Ensure project kickoffs are properly resourced, and operational risks are mitigated before execution begins. 
  • Direct construction teams and subordinate project managers across the U.S., setting expectations, resolving conflicts, and driving accountability. 
  • Foster a high-performance culture through mentorship, training, and leadership development. 
  • Serve as a key escalation point for field and project teams. 
  • Step into at-risk projects to stabilize execution, re-align teams, and resolve scope, schedule, or budget challenges.
    Analyze root causes of underperformance and implement actionable recovery plans. 
  • Provide regular executive-level reporting to the COO, summarizing project health, key risks, and operational opportunities. 
  • Act as a key interface between operations, clients, vendors, and local authorities as required. 

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to travel up to 70% nationwide
