A little bit about the role!
The Operations Team at UZURV delivers safe and reliable transportation services to older riders and riders with disabilities by leveraging a scalable, FTA-compliant network of independently contracted drivers to fulfill the ride demand from our transit agency and community partners across the US. Operations manages driver supply, ride execution, compliance, call centers, safety and experience quality for both riders and drivers on our platform.
We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and tackle some of our most complex business problems. The ideal candidate will build a deep understanding of our marketplace model and platform and leverage both data and operational know-how to drive insight, optimization and innovation as we continue to scale UZURV.
In this role you will identify business improvement opportunities and work cross-functionally to support data-driven decision-making and optimizations that align the UZURV platform and operations with our transit agency and community partners. This role requires strong analytics, problem solving, systems thinking, communication and collaboration skills.
You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our business, delivering life changing service to riders every day.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Driving Strategic Insights: Analyzing business and market data to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights that are improving performance across all UZURV programs and processes.
- Informing Key Decisions: Developing and presenting regular reports and dashboards to operational and executive leadership, clearly communicating project progress, key insights, and performance metrics.
- Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Partnering with teams like Client Services, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering to understand business requirements, translating them into data-driven insights and recommendations, and monitoring the impact of changes.
- Optimizing Marketplace Health: Monitoring key marketplace metrics and assessing the impact of platform configurations and new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to inform future strategy.
- Supporting Business Growth: Assisting the COO and CFO with contract pricing and driver compensation programs. Contributing to strategic planning and business performance reviews by creating data visualizations, reports, and scenario models. Conducting market and competitor analysis to inform business strategies.
- Building the Business Case: Collaborating with product and operations leaders to develop business cases for new initiatives, documenting requirements, and tracking implementation.
We are excited about you because…
- You are a seasoned Business Analyst with at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a tech-enabled marketplace, transportation, or TNC (Transportation Network Company) environment.
- You are a data pro with strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Excel, and Tableau. You have at least a basic understanding of databases and can write SQL queries.
- You are an exceptional problem-solver and critical thinker who can see the big picture and the small details.
- You are an excellent communicator who can convey complex information to diverse stakeholders and concisely summarize insights and recommendations for executive leadership.
- You are an agile professional who can balance delivering on planned projects while being flexible and nimble when priorities shift in our fast-paced environment.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related analytical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
