The Retail Promotions Manager efficiently coordinates, supervises and oversees the implementation of retail promotions within the Sales and Marketing Department. Acting as the primary liaison for the Center-Store Category Management and Procurement Team, they provide day to day support. Additionally, the Retail Promotions Manager ensures the administrative aspects are organized and deadlines are met in a timely fashion with a key emphasis on the internal planning and proactively communicating the Weekly Ad Process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Work with the Category Managers and Procurement Directors on promotions offered by vendors, brokers, and manufacturer representatives to coordinate into effective well-rounded promotions by creating and adjusting Weekly Ad and other promotions.
  2. Create or adjust Midas deal and surveys when needed for Weekly Ads.
  3. Create individual Deal tags in the Apple Ad Planner and Midas software. Update Annual Promotional calendar with Midas details.
  4. Create, adjust, and modify internal AG ad planners for Weekly ad process.
  5. Compose drafts and finalize Weekly Ad list by working with the various departments (Grocery, Frozen, Dairy, Meat, Produce, Bakery, HBC/GM, Deli, and DSD) and Retailers.
  6. Create a list for window signs for Graphics Department and Retailers.
  7. Supervise and manage the perishable AD planning process with various perishable departments (Meat, Produce, Bakery/Deli).
  8. Supervise and manage T Type Promotions.
  9. Assist retailers with gathering information needed for Weekly Ads.
  10. Create weekly billbacks for Advertising fees, T-Promotion fees and Scan down fees.
  11. Prepare for period end by completing all internal department transfers and billbacks.
  12. Supervise and manage the processes and workflow of all Retail Promotions administrative support, including all Weekly Advertising and T Type Promotional events, billing, and reporting for related promotional events.
  13. Provide support as needed to the various departments in the Sales and Marketing Department.
  14. Perform other related tasks as requested/required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be technologically proficient in order to master proprietary software necessary for job functions. Individual should be proficient in Excel spreadsheet software, Word word-processing software, and Adobe Acrobat.

Other Skills and Abilities

  1. Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  2. Proficient in Excel and 10-key data entry skills
  3. Flexible and adaptable to fast -paced changes
  4. Ability to type 50 words per minute.
  5. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
