About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.
We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.
This role is with the Architecture, Strategy and Project Delivery team within Government Shared Services (GSS) Information ICT for 12 months.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Enterprise Strategy & Architecture Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in enabling strategic direction, prioritising initiatives, and achieving performance outcomes across the organisation. You’ll combine strong analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills to influence, engage and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
What you will do
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support the development of enterprise strategies, ensuring clear and compelling messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse technology investments and strategic roadmaps to ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture (EA) models and accurate tracking in the Technical Debt Register.
- Review Client Agency technology plans for compliance with EA principles and maintain up-to-date architecture repositories that reflect strategic alignment.
- Administer EA governance processes, ensuring submissions meet standards and demonstrate stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of architecture models, ensuring centralised, accessible storage for stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage work tasks, reporting on progress and risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Client Agencies, facilitating effective communication, negotiation, and issue resolution.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for Architecture. You thrive in complex environments, are a confident communicator, and bring a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:
- Experience in enterprise strategy, architecture, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Familiarity with Architecture frameworks and governance processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Proficiency in architecture modelling tools and repositories is desired but not essential.
