We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. 

About the Role: 

The Men’s Accommodation and Counselling Service Coordinator supports the No To Violence Men’s Referral Service (MRS) and St Kilda Contact Centre (SKCC) 24/7 crisis response by coordinating short-term accommodation, counselling support, and interagency referrals for men who have used family violence. The role maintains referral pathways between MRS and SKCC, liaises with Men’s Accommodation and Counselling Services (MACS) counsellors and accommodation providers, and ensures data accuracy and reporting aligned with The Salvation Army’s standards. 

This is a part time (15.2 hours Thurs & Fri) 8 month fixed term vacancy. Remuneration in line with SCHADS Level 5. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain clear referral pathways between MRS and SKCC; coordinate accommodation dialogue with MACS counsellors. 

  • Build and sustain relationships with hotels/accommodation providers; manage weekly MACS coordination meetings. 

  • Monitor service delivery outcomes and prepare data papers to demonstrate impact. 

  • Ensure accurate client records in TSA systems; manage monthly accommodation invoicing and booking reconciliation. 

  • Administer IT tasks (Excel, data entry) and ensure timely completion of TSA LEARN training. 

  • Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and culturally safe, inclusive practices (Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD, LGBTIQ, disability). 

  • Support shift handovers with reliability, punctuality, and effective communication. 

About You: 

  • Social Work qualification preferred; or degree in psychology, mental health, or related discipline. 

  • Minimum Diploma in Community Services, AOD, mental health, or related discipline. 

  • Experience in partner/relational work, accommodation coordination, or similar service delivery is desirable. 

  • Strong interpersonal, data management, and Microsoft Excel skills.
