New opportunity for an Internal Audit Team Leader, where you will take the lead on IT Audit engagements, providing independent and objective assurance by assessing the design and operational effectiveness of the Bank’s governance, risk management, and control frameworks. Your work will help mitigate operational, financial, people, and strategic risks.
As Internal Audit Team Leader, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality outcomes for the Information Technology components of the Audit Plan, working either independently or as part of a team.
Your audit expertise and stakeholder engagement skills will be critical across a broad range of areas, including:
IT Governance and Strategy
General IT and Application Controls, including ITIL frameworks
Technology Resilience
Cybersecurity
Cloud
Emerging Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence
Identity and Access Management
IT Project Delivery
Key responsibilities
Provide assurance that governance, risk, and control frameworks are comprehensive and support effective risk mitigation.
Lead the execution of IT audit engagements, ensuring alignment with the Audit Plan and methodology.
Coordinate with subject matter experts and contribute to the completion of audits with professionalism and collaboration.
Support the implementation of Audit’s strategic and operational plans.
Analyse risks, controls, systems, and evidence to identify control weaknesses and recommend practical, risk-aligned solutions.
Apply innovative approaches to audit work, including control analysis and data analytics routines.
Produce high-quality deliverables supported by well-documented working papers, in line with GIAS requirements.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your background
Demonstrated experience in IT audit across a variety of engagements.
Strong analytical skills and a practical approach to risk and control evaluation.
Professional certification (e.g. CISA preferred, CA or CIA).
Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Your team
You will report to the Portfolio Manager IS Audit, who leads a team of four specialists—two focused on IT Audit and two on Data Analytics. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the Audit Department to deliver impactful audit outcomes.
