We are seeking a talented individual to join our Public Sector team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Perth. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Triage all new claims received daily and distribute them according to established processes and protocols
• Undertake technical claims administration including gathering information, claim investigation and determination, drafting correspondence, instructing and managing external legal providers when necessary, calculating settlements and processing payments with the support of the General Claims Manager
• Appearing on behalf of local governments in minor case claims when necessary
• Identify and pursue opportunities for risk advice and timely claim resolution to achieve effective financial outcomes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide onsite client servicing as required

What you need to have:

• Confident communication and professional interpersonal skills
• Experience in claims consulting or related claims management roles
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Skills in data analysis and claims management
• Advocacy and negotiating skills

• A legal background/training would be advantageous
