The Rock Truck Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating articulated rock trucks at rural pit locations near Camrose. This role requires attention to detail, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with other operators and site personnel.

This is a temporary role anticipated to run for approximately 8 weeks, with the potential for rehire in the 2026 construction season (May-November).

Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Operate articulated rock trucks including staging, hauling, and dumping material
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and walk-around inspections to ensure safety and equipment readiness
• Report any maintenance or mechanical issues to the appropriate department
• Perform routine maintenance such as greasing and fueling
• Coordinate effectively with excavator operators and other truck drivers to maintain efficient pit operations
• Comply with Border Paving Ltd. safe working procedures and practices
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and operational guidelines
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (minimum Class 5)
• Current driver's abstract provided prior to hiring
• Previous experience operating a 30-ton articulated rock truck is an asset
• Strong focus on safety and operational efficiency
