About the Role

You are someone with a track record of intermediary sales and has an ability to work and think strategically.

I’m looking for an individual who in this highly visible role will be responsible for the business development of our National Account partners, including National and Network Advice Firms and Third Party Platform providers with a focus on developing opportunities for our Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) and Discretionary Portfolio Service (DPS)

You will play a key part in delivering results through others and must be able to drive sales through the National Accounts by motivating and inspiring key stakeholders.  Working with the Head of Business Development - Advisers, you will also be aligning the activity and strategy of the BDM team with these National Accounts.

With an emphasis on widening the distribution of our MPS strategies, you will become the MPS subject matter expert for Distribution.

The individual with work closely with the Head of Business Development - Advice, the BDM’s, BD Executives and marketing, heads to plan and deliver a distribution strategy and business plan focused on driving business growth from our National Account partners.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Create, implement and monitor the distribution strategy and plan for National Accounts to achieve agreed annual business targets and objectives.

  • Own and drive the Head Office Relationships with our National Accounts and Third Party Platforms

  • Identify, onboard and manage new National Accounts when they are identified.

  • Become the MPS subject matter expert for distribution to support and develop the BDM’s and Investment Managers where appropriate, and work with channel marketing to agree and develop the MPS marketing strategy

  • Work with peers to support Business Development and proactively look for opportunities for consistency of approach where appropriate as well as supporting business retention

  • Support and promote National Account marketing campaigns working in partnership with Marketing colleagues

  • Ensure appropriate team/individual development opportunities are provided

About You

  • You can communicate with impact- superior presentation and communication skills and are highly skilled at team working and working through virtual teams with the ability to create followship
