WHAT WE NEED:

Solutions Developer

Sigma Engineers and Constructors is seeking a Solutions Developer that will work on innovative projects that will help drive company productivity, growth, quality as well as exploration into new areas where technology can be applied. This role is ideal for a software designer with strong problem-solving skills, a passion for experimenting with technology, and the ability to quickly adapt to unique project requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, often exploring new and challenging initiatives outside the traditional scope of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and create systems and user interfaces and experiences for a diverse range of technological projects, from experimental applications to fully realized solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, user needs, and technical constraints.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate design ideas and requirements that can lead to production tools.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to refine and iterate design concepts.
• Work within agile development cycles, ensuring designs are implemented as intended and meeting quality standards.
• Partner closely with special projects team to assess the feasibility of design options and contribute to the decision-making process.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the Special Projects team.
• Document and communicate design specifications, guidelines, and best practices for use across the team and organization.
• Support existing systems and continued development to meet emerging needs and opportunities.

WHO WE NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of developing and deploying robust applications is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in at least one core programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, etc.).
• Familiarity with agile development practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in R&D or early-stage product development is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team environment.
