$96,498.00 - $135,094.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned outpatient unit. Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments. Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.
Full time 40 hours.
The Nurse Manager for Radiation Oncology at Wilmot Cancer Institute (WCI) at Strong and our 4 WCI regional radiation oncology locations is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the nursing clinical operations of the Radiation Oncology department. In this role, the nurse manager will be accountable for hiring, mentoring, and managing a nursing team, ensuring quality care is delivered effectively, adhering to quality standards and policies. The position involves collaboration with key departments such as inpatient units, physicians, radiation therapists, dosimetrists and physicists to coordinate resources and communication. The nurse manager will also participate in strategic initiatives related to quality and safety, leading projects that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills to coordinate and expedite clinical operations, ensuring the needs of patient are met promptly and effectively.
MS required or with-in 5 years of appointment. 3-5 years of oncology and leadership experience preferred. Certification preferred.
