The Boeing Global Services Maintenance Engineering (BME) organization is seeking a Support Engineering Technical Manager in Fort Walton beach, FL .  The role will focus on overseeing the Technical Publications team for USN Fighter Weapons and Trainers Division of Boeing Maintenance Engineering and will lead the technical publications work statements for F/A-18 Hydro Mechanical and Wiring, F-15 Wiring and Defense Weapons publications. This position will assist with integration of all domestic and international Maintenance Engineering Production and Quality activities, developing new product offerings and strategies to transform the business, and successfully managing, developing, and motivating a team of employees.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.
  • Manages employees performing activities related to Technical Publication Authoring, Production and Quality Reviews of Technical Manuals.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets Quality goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support or Product Support
  • Must have experience supporting deliverables for both internal and external customers
  • Must have experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with U.S. Government customers
  • Experience as a lead or manager

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years' experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
  • 3+ years of experience with analyzing and interpreting engineering data for inclusion into maintenance manuals and technical publications
  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
  • Experience with program management / project management
  • Experience using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
  • Experience with fighter aircraft
  • Experience as a leader or manager
