GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The team will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles.
DUTIES:
- Must meet the Aircrew Flight Equipment requirements outlined in AFI11-301V1, AFMAN11- 301V2, AFMAN11-301V3, AFMAN11-301V4 and AFMAN11-301V2_AFMCSUP to this Task Order PWS.
- Must have specialty AFE training and certification for ejection seat-equipped aircraft and shall be well-versed in the fabrication of textile products prior to task order award.
- Contractor AFE personnel may require training from the Government for other aircraft MDS processing for storage, maintained in storage and demilitarized (DEMIL) as it relates to AFE duties.
- Accomplish the following functions on Advanced Concept Ejection Seat (ACES II) equipped Aircraft: repack, remove, inspect, clean, test, and repair.
- Remove electrically activated fire extinguisher cartridges.
- Accomplish the following functions on aircraft in the DEMIL process including removal of AFE related items, verify no explosives remain on AFE equipment, and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Operate overhead and manual cranes.
- Remove explosive panels, Detonation Transfer Assembly (DTA), Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (SMDC), and Flexible Linear Shape Charge (FLSC) when required.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have 6-8 years of applicable experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be capable of working in a potentially hostile environment for an extended period. May be required to travel to and between remote location(s) in austere environments. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
Physical Requirements:
A. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
B. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
C. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
D. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
E. May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
F. Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
G. Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
H. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
I. May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
