General Responsibilities Across All Levels

• Design and implement curriculum aligned with state and national music education standards.

• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and assessments.

• Manage the care, maintenance, and inventory of instruments, uniforms, and equipment.

• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student growth, teamwork, and respect.

• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators.

• Model and uphold high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Valid state teaching license/certification in Music.

• Demonstrated proficiency in instrumental performance and conducting.

• Experience in teaching and directing students across multiple grade levels preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Working Conditions

• Requires evening and weekend commitments for rehearsals, performances, and competitions.

• Involves supervision of students during travel, events, and activities.

• Physical ability to carry, set up, and move equipment as needed.
