RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES
This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The recruitment process may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview.
To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing.
The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies which can include positions ranging from 3.75 to 7 hours a day.
Date of Examination
The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).

POSITION DETAILS
The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a School Safety Monitor position which is anticipated to be placed at Pacific Drive Elementary School. Under general supervision, this position ensures and maintains the safety of students, staff, the public, and school equipment and property by patrolling and monitoring school grounds, campus buildings and other related areas. In addition, the School Safety Monitor identifies, reports and verbally discourages actual and/or potential threats involving student and/or personnel safety.
This career opportunity is a 7 hours/day, 9.50 month/year position with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. Working hours are during school hours Monday through Friday. The District offers a comprehensive prorated benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision & life insurance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Graduation from high school or GED is required.
Experience: One year of paid experience in handling youth behavioral and/or academic issues is required.
