The Events & Program Coordinator is a key member of the Office of Professional Development, responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of in-person and virtual professional development events and programs, as defined below. This role ensures a high-quality participant experience through careful project management, and event design and logistics. The coordinator also supports the department’s outreach efforts through social media, email campaigns, and website updates, and plays a vital role in ensuring the visibility and professionalism of all events and programs.
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES (Duties may vary, and other duties may be assigned.):
*PROGRAM = open enrollment programs, courses, and contract training, both virtual and in-person. It does NOT include cohort certificate programs.
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of professional development events and programs, ensuring all logistics, schedules, and technical requirements are met.
- Manage the execution of virtual learning environments to ensure high-quality delivery of online events and programs.
- Oversee speaker and facilitator engagement, ensuring all logistical, contractual, and scheduling needs are fulfilled.
- Support the execution of sponsor commitments during events, serving as the primary on-site contact for sponsor-related logistics and deliverables.
- Maintain and update public-facing event and program content, including webpages and branded materials.
- Contribute to promotional efforts for professional development offerings, including managing content for social media, newsletters, and print/digital outreach.
- Support internal communications and departmental planning, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and follow-up communications.
- Evaluate the success of programs and events, capturing feedback and summarizing key recommendations for improvement.

MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR
- One to three years of relevant work experience in planning and implementing professional development offerings, large, multi-session events, or project management
