Position Overview:
As a Family Home Health Aide (HHA) at Greater Vision, you will have the opportunity to provide hands-on care for your own child, who must be eligible for private duty nursing services, become a client of Greater Vision, and be enrolled in Medicaid. This role allows you to care for your child while receiving compensation for your efforts, with the flexibility to work up to 40 hours per week, depending on your child's care needs and case requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Medical Assistance: Follow your child's care plan, including administering medications, monitoring health conditions, and supporting treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Mobility Support: Assist with safe transfers and positioning, ensuring your child's comfort and preventing injury.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records of your child's health status, including any changes in symptoms or condition. Report any significant changes to the Greater Vision care team.
- Follow Care Plan: Adhere to the individualized care plan developed by the medical team, ensuring all treatments and care protocols are followed.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure your child's living space is safe and clean, with a focus on preventing accidents and promoting health.
- Communication & Collaboration: Work with Greater Vision’s nursing staff and other team members to ensure seamless care and update the team on your child’s progress and well-being.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Family Member Caregiver: You must be a family member (parent, legal guardian, or close relative) of the child in need of care.
- Child Eligibility: The child must be eligible for Private Duty Nursing services, become a client of Greater Vision, and be enrolled in Medicaid.
- Experience: No formal healthcare training is required; HHA training is provided.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and meet all health and safety compliance requirements.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks related to caregiving (e.g., lifting, assisting with mobility, etc.).
