We have an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. The schedule we are looking to fill is Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an hourly rate of $30/hour.

Position Description
Responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities operate at peak efficiency. This involves sound knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Resolve issues that arise in order to keep building maintenance activities running smoothly and perform needed repairs. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, which includes staff supervision. The. Maintenance Supervisor should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of skilled maintenance, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
- Evaluates assigned work projects, including materials and staff resources needed to perform the work; estimates time, materials, and equipment necessary for the successful completion of projects; acquires necessary resources as appropriate.
- Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Provides recommendations for contracted services; oversees the work of contracted services to ensure compliance with service agreement and work quality consistent with standards and expectations.
- Supervisor maintenance staff members.
Other Duties
- Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.

Education Training and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates degree or technical training preferred
- 5 years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of building maintenance.
- Experience in, and an aptitude for light maintenance work, including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting etc.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage, work and converse with a diverse group of contractors.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Ability to resolve problems using teamwork.
- Flexibility in work hours as needed to address unscheduled interruptions
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of internet and email
- Ability to work with individuals of various socio-economic, ethnic, and racial populations.
- Ability to comply with personal and business requirements and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
