The pay range for this position is $29.00-$43.69 based on direct and relevant experience.

 

There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! RAYUS Radiology is looking for a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! Under the direction of the Chief Technologist or Lead Technologist, the C-arm/Radiologic Technologist will assure that services are provided to patients and referring providers within expected professional standards. As a type of special procedures technologist, the C-arm/Radiologic Technologist operates assigned equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Using a patient-centered approach, the technologist provides imaging services within professional standards and with excellent customer service, kindly guiding patients through each step of the imaging exam procedure and process and answering their questions and concerns. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians/providers.

 

This position is fulltime working Monday-Friday rotating day and evening shifts (rare overnight shifts); includes weekend rotation. We are willing to train in mammography if this is a modality you are interested in learning in the future! 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) C-arm Imaging

  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for imaging procedures that will be performed; clearly explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the correct parts of their body can be appropriately imaged.
  3. Performs routine and advanced c-arm imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury, with minimal amount of supervision, while providing continuous patient support.
  4. Produces diagnostic images in assigned/designated area.
  5. Adjusts x-ray and c-arm parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.

  7. Follows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations and accurately maintains records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  8. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
  9. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  10. Performs quality control tasks as assigned.

(5%) Department Support

                 1.  Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement

                 2.  Assists in updating & maintaining all radiographic & c-arm protocols.

                 3.  Answers department phone calls

(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
