The Pigging Operator supports internal and external client needs by performing job requirements as well as maintaining equipment in support of Facility and Pipeline Projects in regards to maintenance and In-line inspection using a variety of pigging types and materials in a multitude of services.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain pigging systems and equipment.
- Pipeline maintenance pigging operations in accordance with established procedures, pipeline surveys, damage prevention, and right of way maintenance.
- Operates the pig launcher to send pig into pipeline and retrieves pig from pig receiver.
- Pigging equipment knowledge to include batching pigs, scraping and cleaning pigs, gauging pigs, inspection pigs, and launchers and receivers.
- Maintains general knowledge of work site locations, equipment, and permitting.
- Gather and provide system pressure information as required.
- Establish and maintain rapport and strong working relationship with co-workers and client representatives.
- Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI Industrial Services and clients while on shift, on call, or attending training.

- Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
- Maintain compliance with required HSE Training.
- Ensure all work conducted in in his / her area is properly permitted.
- Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
- Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
- Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives. Everyone has STOP work authority.
- Participating in safety meetings, work safely, and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
- Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
- Promote and participate in Safety Programs.
- Be a team player, striving for an interdependent, successful, and effective approach to meeting our vision, mission, and business objectives:
- Communicate daily status of current projects to the Facility Foreman and Maintenance Coordinator.
- Demonstrates the ability to monitor operations with minimal guidance.
- Emergency Response Trained.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools to complete job requirements.
- Demonstrate support of company and client environmental management system.
- Participate in the CCI active list for spill responders.
- Performs other labor functions and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand the English language.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of hand-held power tools.
- Knowledge of and the ability to follow CCI Industrial Services, client safety programs, and regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
