Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement:The IT Manager for Workplace Services serves as a team member on the Division of Student Affairs (DSA) Client & Workplace Services team. This position reports to the DSA IT Assistant Director for Client & Workplace Services. Direct reports will be determined as we consolidate the IT functions across the Division. The incumbent will directly supervise staff, including 3 or more full-time IT professionals, student staff and/or part-time staff.
This position ensures ongoing operational integrity, data security and compliance of all specialized workplace services hardware and software elements. This position entails support of workplace services through a central help desk and on-site technical support related to the specialized technology services, technical staffing, coordinating training for end users on endpoint hardware and software plus other related duties.
The incumbent will serve on a team that supports the division's 16 plus departments, about 3,000 staff members, and technology assets installed across 3.6 M Sq. Ft of space. This role will support the 1,400+ workstations across the division. In addition, this role supports the IT operations for mission critical IT systems that support 24/7 operations. These operations include health care, dining, housing, recreation and wellness, student activities, facilities, counseling services, accessibility and disability support, and other critical functions.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Five (5) years of professional information technology project management experience. Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of building project plans.Knowledge of project planning.Skill in oral and written communication.Skill in the use of Google Office Suite. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.Additional Job Details
Preferences:
BA or BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
At least five years of experience managing workplace technical support.
Supervisory experience.
