The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.

As the Quality Manager, you will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Provide guidance, advice, and support to Project Stakeholders on quality planning, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover in accordance with business management arrangements.
  • Support the planning, development, and review of quality management plans (QMPs), inspection and test plans (ITPS) during project evaluation and planning phases.
  • Support project and supply chain in the realisation of ITP and QMP requirements, whilst applying oversight and progressive assurance to deliverable documents and records.
  • To ensure that deliverable lifetime quality records (LTQRs) provide effective and assured evidence that the reference design intent of plant, equipment and Infrastructure has been adequately achieved.

You’ll need to have:

  • Extensive knowledge and application of quality management systems.
  • Highly advanced knowledge of ISO9001 standard and certification.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of management principles and operational controls through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience in development and implementation of tools and techniques in an operational environment.
  • Highly advanced level of knowledge and understanding of current industry standards and regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction, consultancy and facilities management industries.
  • Formal auditor training courses within relevant subject area.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite and data analysis tools.
  • Considerable people leadership and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent communications skills and customer focus.
  • Ability to present.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines alone and as part of a team.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships across a business and with all levels.
  • Comprehensive organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and to make appropriate decisions.
  • Comprehensive report writing skills.
  • Manages, influences and negotiates with key senior stakeholders (up to c-suite).
