Job Summary 

89 Bar & Grill at Homewood Mountain Resort is seeking energetic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Food & Beverage Attendant’s with responsibilities in cashiering, food running, and bussing tables. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Cashiering: 

  • Greet guests with a friendly demeanor as they approach the register. 

  • Accurately ring up orders, process payments, and issue receipts using the point-of-sale (POS) system. 

  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment with precision. 

  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, including pricing, daily specials, and promotions, to assist guests with their orders. 

  • Suggest additional items or beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. 

  • Count & balance cash registers at start & end of shift.  

Food Running: 

  • Assist kitchen staff by running food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and efficient manner. 

  • Ensure that all food items are delivered to the correct table and are presented neatly. 

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions. 

Bussing Tables: 

  • Clear tables promptly after guests have finished their meals, ensuring that the dining area remains clean and inviting. 

  • Wipe down tables, replace utensils and napkins, and reset tables for the next guests. 

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors and organizing chairs. 

  • Support the team in maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant, including sanitizing surfaces and restocking stations as needed. 

Customer Service: 

  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with a positive and professional attitude. 

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for all guests. 

Compliance: 

  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment. 

  • Adhere to all Homewood Mountain Resort policies and procedures.

Language Skills: 

  • Literate and fluent in English. 

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 

  • Additional language(s) desirable. 

Mathematical Skills:  

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. 

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. 

Reasoning Ability:  

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, mathematical, or diagram form.   

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations 

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Prior ski resort or hospitality experience desirable. 

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift/move 10 lbs. or more and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. 

  • Ability to lift/move 25 lbs. or more and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Telephones, PC, database, office supplies, and filing cabinets 

  • Handheld radio 

  • Cash registers 

  • Snow removal equipment
