About the Role:
Wing is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Reverse Logistics Inventory Manager to lead our Reverse Logistics aviation asset operations. Based in either Palo Alto, CA, or Dallas, TX, you will be responsible for defining and executing the inventory strategic roadmap for our asset recovery and recycling programs. This pivotal role involves directing inventory operations, collaborating with external service partners and internal teams, and leveraging data analytics to continuously improve our reverse logistics inventory performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of reverse logistics operational principles, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading Reverse Logistics inventory management.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct and oversee inventory projects focused on the complete reverse logistics life cycle. This includes managing all stages for returned assets and drones, from initial tracking and inspection to component harvesting, product refurbishment, and final inventory recycling reconciliation Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Fleet Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing and Service Providers, to optimize the overall reverse logistics inventory management, identify areas for improvement, and improve turnaround times
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory visibility, efficiency of movement, reduce costs, and minimize waste across all inventory and reverse logistics operations.
- Take ownership of reverse logistics inventory data analysis and reporting. You will analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, pinpoint inefficiencies, and provide data-driven insights and solutions to reduce costs, maximize asset recovery and accuracy, and drive continuous improvement
- Oversee relationships with 3PSP partners and collaborate with Accounting, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Finance to ensure comprehensive tracking of all inventory and inventory movements and visibility requirements
- Ensure adherence to all relevant compliance, environmental, and safety regulations for asset tracking, movements, and reporting.
- Conduct, oversee, and monitor inventory cycle count, physical inventory and reconciliation, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved through accurate management and corrective actions
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Reverse Logistics, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in service logistics operations, with a focus on reverse logistics.
- A demonstrated ability to review end-to-end Reverse Logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions
- Proven ability to successfully scope, develop, and deliver on program milestones. This includes managing cross-functional task and deliverables
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple internal cross-functional teams, external partners, and different regions to complete critical reverse logistics strategic inventory initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL to query operational datasets.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP Inventory systems
- Experience in freight services and transportation.
- Ability to travel domestically 20-30% of the time
Bonus
- Strong familiarity with drone technology, including practical experience in repair methodologies, maintenance procedures, and flight testing operations
- Experience in a highly regulated records management domain (e.g. aviation, transportation, logistics)
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
