Job Description:

Sika is looking for an experienced and safety-focused Team Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for guiding a team of operators, ensuring production goals are met, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with other departments for smooth operations.

  • Champion and enforce all safety, environmental, and site policies. Lead by example and support incident reporting, inspections, and safety documentation.
  • Supervise production staff to meet daily schedules, optimize output, and minimize downtime.
  • Train, guide, and support new and current team members; promote teamwork and accountability.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules and workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate with maintenance on equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Complete shift reports, downtime logs, and production documentation accurately.
  • Manage break schedules to keep production lines running efficiently.
  • Provide feedback on employee performance, attendance, and training progress.
  • Operate forklifts and production equipment; perform equipment setup, basic maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Ensure proper handling of raw materials, waste, and inventory; conduct cycle counts and assist with full inventories.
  • Work closely with Quality Control to ensure products meet specifications and documentation is accurate.
  • Maintain clear communication with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity.
  • Lead housekeeping efforts and ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and follow all standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong communication and basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages)
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot production processes
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Forklift experience preferred (training provided)
