We are now looking an Electrical Plant Technician to join our team in Pilar, Buenos Aires - Argentina.
Main responsabilities:
- Carry out complex operational activities in electrical and automation related to Wartsila's products,
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on site to isolate and find root causes of failures in electrical and automation equipment.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been finalized correctly and that machinery and equipment are compliant to specifications and safety standards.
- Keep track of work details and provide deepen reports, including all the necessary details (measurements, photos, way of working, investigations, etc.).
- Perform internal and external progress reporting on the status of assigned work. Keep track and provide the accounting of time, together with the spare parts to be used.
- Prepare technical reports on time, with the collections of the expected documentation according to Wartsila quality.
- Provides specialized electrical and automation service in customer's place of business to ensure optimal work of customer plant, executing maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and automation parts/products/solutions/equipment in accordance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Maintains and operates the plant according to company policies, procedures, and operation profile/plan.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance on electical and automation systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Carries out inspections of all electrical and automation equipment and take corrective actions when needed.
- Ensures that the working area, machines, auxiliary equipment and tools are kept in good and clean condition.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots electrical and automation malfunctions, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborates with other technicians and teams to support cross-functional maintenance activities and projects.
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions on maintenance processes.
- Continuously updates personal knowledge of electrical and automation systems and practices to enhance on-the-job performance and safety.
Requirements for the position
- Technical degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electromechanical.
- Electrical and automation technical knowledge, communication nets and interfaces, sensors, actuators, auxiliary equipment.
- Computer skills, MS Office suite.
- Good communication skills.
- Motivated to learn in classroom/field trainings and quickly grow professionally.
- Ability to work in a team, follow directives and deal with people of different nationalities and cultures.
As an ideal candidate you might also have...
- Technical high school diploma in electrics, electronics, automation.
- Previous experiences in similar roles.
- PLC programming, SCADA systems knowledge.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
