Summary
The Bill of Material (BOM) Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accuracy and consistency of engineering data across Greenbrier’s systems. This position manages the release and communication of changes to the Bill of Material (BOM) and Item Master through the Engineering PDM system (Blue Star) and the companywide ERP system (DAX). The role also includes coordinating with suppliers to provide and distribute production-ready drawings in support of manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the following essential duties. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Track, process, and distribute specialty drawing approvals for assigned projects.
- Coordinate the release of parts and BOMs from Blue Star to DAX.
- Update and maintain Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in DAX, ensuring timely distribution of changes.
- Generate and maintain reports related to supplier drawings and sample cars.
- Prepare, print, and distribute manufacturing drawings to production teams.
- Identify and resolve issues related to BOM accuracy and system integration.
- Communicate with engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage priorities and meet deadlines by effectively estimating and scheduling work tasks.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related industry experience.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PDM systems (Blue Star) and ERP systems (DAX).
- Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
- Experience working with suppliers on technical drawings or related documentation.
