Responsibilities

 

·         Pre-shift exercise / stretching activity to be performed before you can enter production area unless written doctor’s release can be provided to Human Resources.

·         Direct / Assist the Thermoform Tool Room personnel in day-to-day maintenance of the molds & tools.

·         Set priorities for the repairs of the molds.

·         Work with Tool Room groups to develop and follow preventive maintenance programs.

·         Make recommendations for capital needs in the Tool Room to the Tooling Supervisor.

·         Evaluate down time and efficiency reports to determine productivity levels and areas requiring                    special attention.

·         Coordinate efforts with other groups in maintenance, scheduling, molding, printing, etc.

·         Keep the Tool Room personnel informed on pertinent activities and information.

·         Assist Human Resources Department with screening and interviewing potential employees for the                Tool Room.

·         Assist the Tooling and Engineering Departments at other Berry facilities when needed.

·         Develop new Tool Room policies as necessary to ensure safety and efficiency.

·         Oversee the development and training of new employees and direct the employees in their work                habits.

·         Perform employee evaluations once a year.

·         Enforce all company policies, work rules, safety rules and good working practices.

·         Assist with vendors and suppliers for the Tool Room and order supplies as needed.

·          Keep proper records on maintenance performed on all methods

·         Training in this position requires a thorough understanding of the above responsibilities and this is an            extension of THM Tooling Tech responsibilities.

·         Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Tooling Supervisor or Leadership.

 

Qualifications

·       Positive attitude towards hard work, authority, team work and responsibility

·         Sincere, dependable and motivated

·         High school Diploma/GED Equivalent/Work Equivalent.

·         Must have a good work & attendance record.

·         Good math skills.

·         Good problem solving & analytical skills.

·         Must have good communication skills, written & verbal.

·         Should know how to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers & gauges.

·         Previous experience with lathes, mills, and grinders essential or equivalent work experience.

·         Solidworks or other 3D modeling or drafting software.

·         Mechanical Ability.

·         Fork truck experience a plus.

·         Must provide your own tools.

·         Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

·         Ability to work around grease, oils, inks, and solvents without adverse reaction.

·         Must be able to stand, walk, bend or stoop through an entire 8 hour shift.

·         Must have good manual dexterity.

·         Must be able to differentiate color.
