The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. Job Summary

LOCATION: Positions will be out stationed and based at a home office within Northern California: South Bay or East Bay preferred PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The State Performance Plan Technical Assistance Project (SPP-TAP) is a collaboration between the California Department of Education and Napa County Office of Education (NCOE). We partner with significantly disproportionate Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) to address systemic inequities based on race and ethnicity. Our mission is to reduce disproportionate disciplinary actions, placements, and identification of students with disabilities, while improving educational outcomes. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Project Director, the Implementation Coach provides technical assistance through a coaching model to support Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) staff, and County Offices of Education (COEs) across the state. This role focuses on guiding the Continuous Improvement and Monitoring (CIM) process in order to create lasting systems change in the reduction of disproportionality and improvement of student outcomes. Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Home Office (location flexible within San Francisco Bay Area).

• Able to work a flexible schedule and be available for frequent travel regionally and state-wide (including overnight) by air and car.

• Able to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods.

• Experience addressing issues of equity, preferably in relation to significant disproportionality, with public schools in California.

• Master’s degree in education or related field (or a bachelor's degree with significant equivalent experience)

• Knowledge of both general and special education.

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in an educational setting, ideally in an administrative role or teaching role

• California Driver’s License (CDL) and NCOE driving clearance.

Salary Info

100% California Department of Education (CDE) contract-funded position (renewable annually). Medical, vision, and dental benefits are available for purchase with an optional Section 125 plan for employee and family
