Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Assist in students' educational and social development under the direction and guidance of the special education teacher.
- Support students with academic and organizational concerns.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for the students and monitor their progress.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
- Assist classroom teacher with maintaining student records.
- Willingness to learn how to collect various types of academic data and complete observations.
- Must be able to interact well with students, school staff, and parents.
- Willingness to assist students with personal care needs (toileting, feeding, etc.)
- Ability to de-escalate students with emotional concerns.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Education Requirements: Associates Degree, 48 credits beyond a High School Diploma, or Completion of the District's Highly Qualified IA Program
New Employee Rate:
$23.46 per hour
