JOB PURPOSE
Human Performance Team Leader Projects will be responsible for organizing,
leading and planning complex projects for the Division's research and development
and product implementation efforts in the areas of corporate training, people
development and culture building. Provides recommendations, instructions and
assistance to employees and consultants on the project team including assisting
in leading all phases of project development, planning, identifying deliverables
and execution; responsible for planning all assigned projects to include scope,
schedule, cost, safety and quality controls of the project; lead project related
meetings required to ensure open communication between all team members,
key stakeholders, consultants and Senior Leadership Council. Lead aspects of
related department contracts with third parties. Formulate partnerships to deliver
value-added service to senior leaders, management team and employees that
reflects the business objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Oversee and drive human
resource programs/projects on time, to specification and with accuracy and
efficiency. Function as intake coordinator for daily requests for training and
development, interviewing stakeholders to assess needs, outcomes expected
and determine department capacity and timing for project requests. Work closely
with assigned Division and contracted resources to coordinate/facilitate the
project evaluation and business case development of assigned projects/
programs. Delegate work and assignments to team members based on
expertise, work experience, and time constraints, in consultation with area
leader. Lend expertise and business support to HPPD coordinators. Prepare
and/or verify various records to include performance management, succession
planning, talent review report, training effectiveness evaluations, course fidelity
and instructor appraisal reports, as well as records related to testing and
assessment. Engage in business analyst tasks to assist with identification of
future strategic talent sourcing and internal talent development needs tocontribute to stable workforce. Provide regular updates and interface with project
sponsors and internal/ external customers to assure alignment on project
direction, deliverables and schedule. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of
department external contracts and training programs to ensure success. Stay
abreast of innovations in the utility and corporate training industry. Perform other
duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
A valid driver’s license from state of residence is required.
EDUCATION: Master’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business,
Computer Science, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field is required. Doctoral
degree in Organizational Development, Leadership, or a related field is
preferred.
EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of professional experience in corporate training or a related field is
required. Must have experience translating business strategy into
implementation plans and departmental tactics, as well as project management
training and/or direct project management experience. Experience collaborating
with IT to digitally transform paper-based talent development processes within
an enterprise Human Resources Management (HRM) system is strongly
preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must successfully complete NIMS (National Incident Management System)
training within one year of entering the job. Working environment is primarily
indoors with most time spent sitting at a desk. Physical demands: May be
required to stand briefly during employee development sessions or
presentations. Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief
periods, exerting up to 20 pounds or more of force on a regular basis.
Occasional light lifting of training or presentation materials and equipment is
required.
