Talbot Hospice is seeking a compassionate caregiver who thrives on bringing comfort and support to those in need. We’re looking for a full time Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring, patient-centered team. This role will require a CMT, and if you have one that is a plus, but if not we will help you obtain it. In this role, you’ll provide personal care and medication support to hospice patients in a way that respects their dignity and enhances their quality of life.
What You'll Do:
- Assist patients with daily personal care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene)
- Administer medications safely and accurately per established protocols
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Support mobility and range-of-motion exercises
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and comfort
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment in the patient’s living space
- Follow care plans created by the hospice team

Requirements
- Meets the training requirements of the State and holds dual licensure as a CNA and CMT. Must have active CNA to be considered, we will assist with obtaining CMT.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
- Satisfactory references from previous employers.
- Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. Secure with issues of death/dying. Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home.
