Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-rays of all bony anatomy as ordered by providers, ensuring high-quality imaging and proper positioning.
  • Operate radiology equipment in compliance with safety protocols and state/federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging studies.
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self by adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging while providing reassurance and maintaining patient comfort.
  • Collaborate with providers and medical assistants to support patient flow and clinical efficiency.
  • Assist with basic clinical duties such as room preparation and patient intake as directed, within LMRT scope.
  • Monitor and maintain radiology equipment, reporting malfunctions or service needs.
  • Uphold compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and internal policies and procedures.

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 
  • Active and valid Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Michigan (or applicable state licensure).
  • Completion of an accredited LMRT training program.
  • Experience in orthopaedic or urgent care setting preferred but not required
