About the role: The Professional Development Project Manager and Coach is responsible for leading and managing professional development initiatives while providing direct coaching support to educational professionals in assigned school districts. This role blends strategic project management with hands-on training delivery, requiring expertise in trauma-informed practices, emotional regulation, behavioral support, and student mental health.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor professional development and coaching projects from start to completion.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with school administration, maintaining consistent communication on project progress, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, deliverables, and post-project evaluations.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Vice President of Professional Development.

Professional Development & Coaching

  • Deliver in-person trauma-informed professional development sessions to district staff through workshops and presentations.
  • Train and coach cohorts of district staff via monthly group and individual sessions.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback to strengthen trauma-informed practices.
  • Submit coaching scores and share findings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide consultation to school professionals and clinicians on student mental health initiatives.
  • Lead or support per diem professional development presentations, as needed.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to ESS coaches.
  • Actively participate in weekly 1:1 meetings and cross-departmental collaboration.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Collect and analyze data to measure coaching effectiveness, participant progress, and program outcomes.
  • Document events with detailed summaries, including attendance, participant feedback, and outcomes.
  • Attend regular professional development meetings to align with district goals and ESS objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on coaching activities and progress metrics.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices, behavioral supports, and student mental health.
  • Experience in professional development, coaching, or training delivery.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills.
