Description:Lockwood Hills Federal is seeking a Senior Content Architect who will be responsible for designing infrastructure for enterprise training systems. This work involves researching, selecting, and testing standards, products, and content for the integration of complex training requirements.
This position requires specialized knowledge of digital learning systems and associated information management. Knowledge and prior experience with DoD/Federal systems and data policies and systems is important.
Responsibilities:- Develops and maintains strategic plans for long-term training requirements, across domains and systems
- Drives ownership for training models and plans across capabilities
- Researches, identifies, and recommends emerging technologies and technical trends that add value across the enterprise
- Analyzes system specifications to ensure the architecture supports intended business functions and performance criteria
- Defines and documents standards, best practices, and guidelines for system design and development
- Leads and participates in communication with key government and DoD stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and development teams, translating needs into technical solutions
- Assesses and integrates third-party capabilities, content, and services to enhance training capability, effectiveness, and drive innovation
- Reviews performance data and user feedback, recommending improvements and enhancements for newly implemented or sustained systems
- Identifies and prioritizes requirements in close coordination with the Program Manager and Government customer
- Leads cross-functional program teams and facilitate effective communication among functional leads
- Supports development and refinement of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Project Plans
- Assists in developing program documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), briefings, Statements of Work (SOW), best practices and other project execution documentation to ensure compliance with applicable DoD and Federal regulations
- Provides oversight, development and validation of test and evaluation, and management of key performance indicators (KPls)
- Provides technical guidance, management, and support to project teams
- Assumes technical solution ownership for multiple related projects
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance
- 5+ years’ experience as a System Architect or Software Architect
- This position may be required to manage teams and coordinate with technical and content working groups
- This position requires 10+ years of related experience or equivalent
- Master’s or Equivalent in Training Specialization, Linguistics, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or Juris Doctorate with emphasis on training development
- Experience leading complex technical projects across cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Experience managing multiple tasks within a face-paced, high-volume, dynamic work environment
- Maintain mental flexibility with the ability adapt to rapidly evolving requirements and priorities
- Experience gathering operational requirements and translating them into technical requirements for development projects
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills to make sound decisions and approach problems with curiosity and open-mindedness
- Ability to approach tasks in a structured, reliable, and foresighted manner with a high level of initiative, individual responsibility, enthusiasm, positive, "can do" attitude, and strong social skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Doctorate, Juris Doctorate, or Equivalent in Training Specialization, Linguistics, Instructional Technology, Education
- Estimation of effort resource requirements and schedules, writing functional specifications, and managing compliance with original scope baseline
- Communication: Effective interaction with and presentation to senior government representatives and stakeholders, including the ability to convey complex ideas in simple terms and match a presentation to an audience’s level of technical depth and subject matter familiarity
