Your new role
As a Senior Analyst focused on real estate lending within the Private Credit team, you will use your analytical skills and commercial acumen to identify and analyze key investment issues and make recommendations to senior colleagues. Your knowledge of the real estate lending markets will also help in assisting the team to identify relevant investment opportunities that complement the existing portfolio.
In this role, you will support the implementation of the Private Credit portfolio strategy in New York, by contributing to new investment activity across real assets lending, both real estate and infrastructure, together with ongoing loan investment management. This role is based on-site at 1251 Avenues of the Americas, with a hybrid work schedule.
About Private Credit at AustralianSuper
Private Credit invests in real asset-backed loans and US middle market corporate loans. The specialist global team has deep experience in real assets lending, with a focus on opportunities in infrastructure and real estate sectors, and has the ability to invest in opportunities across the full range of credit instruments.
Key responsibilities
New Transaction Execution / Credit Assessment
- Due diligence and credit assessment of prospective credit investments.
- Modelling and other analytical tasks including building, analyzing, maintaining and reviewing valuation/financial models for new Private Credit investment activity.
- Be an active stakeholder on relevant opportunities credit discussions at all stages of the process (initial discussion, pipeline, credit meetings, final decision).
- Determine internal credit ratings for individual investments.
- Prepare credit papers and recommendations for submission to the relevant committee.
- Review term sheets and legal documentation.
Investment Management
- Conduct ongoing periodic reviews and reporting on the performance of individual loans and sectors.
- Manage valuation process with external valuers for the valuation of individual loans, at origination and on a recurring basis.
Portfolio Management
- Research potential new markets and opportunities for new investments.
- Contribute to investment reporting and regular commentary on various credit markets.
- Communicate and explain investment performance and processes to key stakeholders.
What you’ll need
- 3+ years of private credit experience at an investment manager, investment bank, debt advisory/broker or equivalent.
- Meaningful experience with real estate lending.
- Exposure to infrastructure lending is a plus.
- Strong quantitative financial modelling skills.
- Significant experience with undertaking analysis of information and drawing conclusions.
- Advanced use of MS Office products especially Excel.
- Experience with transaction work stream management and asset management processes.

Pay transparency notice
The compensation range for this position is $250,000 to $350,000 (this is based on full-time hours, located in New York City). The pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience and refers to the amount AustralianSuper is willing to pay at the time of posting.
