Location/Office: New York, NY (CAI has a hybrid work schedule of working 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.)
General Statement of Responsibilities
The Trainer/Technical Assistance Specialist conducts organization-specific training and tailored ongoing assistance to support CAI’s initiatives related to community health. These projects specifically focus on helping community-based organizations and agencies improve health outcomes and working with communities to reduce racial, ethnic, and economic disparities in health outcomes.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Deliver training and courses.
- Conduct ongoing technical assistance.
- Stay abreast of current literature and research related to the initiatives.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and best practices to inform technical assistance activities, training curricula, training materials, and other resources.
- Maintain accurate and current records of all technical and training activities.
- Other duties as necessary/assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of training and technical assistance experience within public health settings.
- Experience working directly with marginalized communities, especially individuals and families enrolled in Medicaid.
- Experience working with community-based organizations, healthcare organizations, and social service agencies.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret and use real-time data to support process improvement.
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable steps/plans.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in public health or related field.
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Care navigation work experience.

While performing the Trainer/Technical Assistance Specialist’s responsibilities, the employee is required to talk and hear. This position requires the employee to be on-site at a CAI office. The employee is often required to sit and work at a desk for prolonged periods of time and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000. CAI offers the following benefits:
